DISCLAIMER & GUIDING VALUES

Effective March 25, 2025

At Vanessa Crites Consulting, LLC, we believe healing is sacred, personal, and powerful. This page exists to clarify the scope of our work, illuminate our guiding values, and ensure informed, respectful participation. Please read this page carefully before engaging with our offerings.

For complete legal policies, see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

What We Do

  • We offer spiritual support, integration coaching, microdosing mentorship, and sacred preparation for individuals engaging with non-ordinary states of consciousness.
  • We support harm reduction, inner resourcing, and reverent self-exploration through personal development and ceremonial work.
  • We collaborate with therapists, healthcare professionals, and facilitators in an educational and integrative capacity.
  • We create sacred spaces grounded in consent, safety, and personal sovereignty.
  • We are committed to trauma-informed and recover-conscious care, cultural humility, and ethical space holding.
  • We welcome seekers into a relational field of co-creation, prayer, and remembrance.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell, or distribute psychoactive or controlled substances.
  • We are not licensed therapists, doctors, or medical providers.
  • We do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions.
  • We do not offer emergency mental health services or legal advice.
  • We do not guarantee outcomes, breakthroughs, or personal transformation. Healing is personal and unpredictable.
  • We do not claim titles such as shaman or healer. We do not hold ancestral medicine lineages, though we honor and have been guided by those who do.
  • We do not promote or recommend the use of psychedelics. We walk with reverence and humility toward these powerful allies.

Our role is to provide educational, spiritual, and integrative support to those who have already chosen this path. We encourage all clients to act in alignment with local laws, personal discernment, and professional medical guidance.

Cultural Humility & Right Relationship

Our work is shaped by the teachings of Indigenous elders, healers, and sacred medicine carriers across traditions. We are committed to cultural appreciation – not appropriation – and we strive to walk in right relationship with the medicines, the people, and the lands from which they come.

“Cultural appreciation is when all cultures involved benefit – not just the dominant one.”

We remain vigilant about power dynamics, privilege, and unconscious patterns of extraction. This is a path of lifelong learning, humility, and accountability.

We offer prayers of gratitude to the Wisdom Keepers – past and present – who have safeguarded these traditions. This work is offered in their honor.

Your Responsibility

  • Your healing journey is your own. We are here to support – not direct or fix – you.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that any practices, substances, or ceremonies you choose to engage in are legal in your jurisdiction.
  • We encourage you to consult a licensed medical or mental health professional before participating in any ceremonial, integrative, or spiritual work.
  • If you are in crisis or need medical help, please contact a licensed provider, therapist, or emergency resource.
  • By engaging with this work, you affirm that you do so with informed consent, personal agency, and respect for the process.

Informed Participation

By using this website or participating in any services, you affirm that:

  • You have read and agreed to all applicable intake, waiver, and consent forms.
  • You understand the spiritual and non-clinical nature of this work.
  • You accept full responsibility for your experience.
  • You are prepared to engage with deep personal work through a lens of curiosity, sovereignty, and care.

Legal & Ethical Boundaries

  • Nothing shared through this website, sessions, courses, or ceremonies should be interpreted as medical, therapeutic, or legal advice.
  • Testimonials reflect personal experiences and are not guarantees of results.
  • All services are offered with the highest integrity within a non-clinical, non-judgmental, and non-directive framework.
  • Our work exists in compliance with Georgia state law. You are responsible for knowing and honoring the laws in your own location.

Emergency & Crisis Support

We are not a crisis service. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, trauma activation, or require immediate care, please contact:

  • A licensed therapist or psychiatrist
  • A local emergency service provider
  • A national crisis hotline such as 988 or SAMHSA (1-800-662-HELP)

Referrals & Resources

We may suggest external tools, books, or practitioners. These are offered in good faith as supportive resources. It is your responsibility to discern their appropriateness and seek qualified guidance when needed.

My Prayer

First and foremost, always, gratitude for the Ancestors of these lands who lived here long before us. Gratitude and honoring of the Indigenous peoples who worked with these Medicines in a sacred way for millennia.

We ask for your permission to enter the “world beyond” and to be with us on our journey. May we come in reverence and respect, honoring the lines and roots of the Medicines and the teachings we carry.

May I always remain in grateful and humble service.

This is my prayer. This is my prayer. This is my prayer.
